By using MotionSolve for the plant simulation and Activate for the controls, the complete system can be simulated with unprecedented accuracy. This can be used to choose if the system requirements will be meet by changing control strategy or updating the mechanical hardware. For instance, a softer controller might enable lighter or cheaper mechanical parts. Test the mechanical design using the actual closed looped control strategy instead of pre-defined inputs.
